PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY OF INSURANCE INTERMEDIARIES

The insurance “Professional liability of insurance brokers and insurance agents” is concluded necessarily by the persons performing these activities in accordance with the Insurance Code and the Ordinance on the insurance broker and the insurance agent. The professional liability of the insured shall be insured in respect of:

– All amounts up to the agreed limits of compensation that the insured insurance broker or his employee is legally obliged to pay as compensation for the damages incurred during or in connection with the activity of insurance and/or reinsurance mediation as a result of a faulty act or omission under the current legal framework;

– A natural person or his employees, if he is a legal person, in connection with the carrying out of insurance mediation under the current legal framework;

– All claims settlement costs (including lost profits representing a direct and immediate result of unauthorized damage and default interest awarded to the insured) incurred with the insurer’s consent, which are included in the agreed compensation limits.

The insurance shall be concluded on the basis of a questionnaire-proposal completed by the applicant for insurance. The policy is issued after payment of an insurance premium, defined as a fixed amount of an insured person depending on the selected limits of compensation.
